Case Study: Munis General Ledger
Lewis County faced three major challenges:
• The county needed to improve transparency with residents regarding public spending.
• Department heads lacked easy access to general ledger reports detailing spending and revenues.
• The general ledger data could not integrate with other county datasets.
Rather than accept these limitations, county leaders took action by partnering with Quantify Consulting. Quantify connected the county’s financial data to an Azure Database and built interactive Power BI dashboards.
Today, department heads can quickly see where funds have been allocated, and residents have clear, accessible insights into how public money is being spent.
